Static Age Vs. Clay Street Press:

Static Age is a commercial space. It doubles as a consignment store/gallery for local artist as well as a screen printing shop. Run by Brandon Hickle and Alex York. Typically, Static Age shows contemporary avant-garde and work by local artists’ including, Evan Wolff. The audience you most likely will see there are 18 and beyond. Clay Street Press is a commercial gallery space off the beaten path, unlike Static Age that is located on a main street. Mark Patsfall, owner of Clay Street Press, is a print maker himself. Usually the type of work shown is more typically seen in a traditional fine art gallery. Works’ shown by artists’ like Carmel Buckley and Jim Williams. The typical audience for this gallery are art students and the collegiate. This gallery shows established artists and wouldn’t be recommended for up and coming undergraduate students.
